Biography

Originally from Shropshire, I am a self taught oil painter, concentrating on townscapes, buildings, and working vehicles. 

My aim is to paint the look and feel of our times. I concentrate on things I can relate to.

All of my work starts with a photograph. Via tracing and drawing, I fix a framework of the photograph onto stretched canvas, remaining true as possible to the original  photo. I add layers of oil paint to build up the image.

I have exhibited my work at the Purple Gallery, Bournville, the Art Rooms, Kings Heath, Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum, RBSA Birmingham, and the Mall Gallery in London.
